Short about me:

I was born an raised in sunny Greece,  but I live in Toronto, Canada. I have travelled a lot. I lived in Germany, Greece and the USA, where I polished my artistic skills and gained experience.

I studied art in Europe and in Canada - Ontario Art College and Central Technical School.  One of my  teachers was Doris McCarthy - follower of The Group of Seven.

I especially value my work at TV Ontario. Creating imaginery characters and settings for the television series was a very creative and challenging part of my career.  I received the TVO Graphic Award.

Book illustration was another mode of expression for me, especially when my kids were growing.

I paint a lot of murals. It is exciting to paint large pictures on the walls. I like it.

Over 30 of my works are in private collections in Europe, USA and in Canada. Many were presented on various exhibitions:

  • St Lawrence Centre for the Arts
  • Yorkville Library
  • Art Cafe
  • Richvew Library
  • Forest Hill Art Club
  • Trinity College
  • Humingbird Centre for the Arts
  • Cincinatti, Ohio, USA
  • Frankfurt, Germany
  • Salonica, Greece

I dedicate most of my time to teaching.  I started in 1980, 24 years ago ( already!!!). I help people to discover joy of expression through visual arts. I give instructions in oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels. I like to work with adults - especially seniors. Some students stay with me for years - it has to be my personal charm!  I teach in Central Technical School,  the Forest Hill Art Club, senior lodges and residences.

Since 1998 I have been conducting my own Summer School  in July and August.  It is a creative way to spend Summer and to rediscover the beauty of Toronto. We go to the parks and quiet residential streets and paint what we like. There is nothing better than painting outdoors in the company of nice people. Join us and see for yourself !
